School Tax Credits
Tax Forms

Here’s your chance to make a contribution to our schools and to your child’s education without it costing you a thing!

How can I contribute?

Arizona Tax law allows a taxpayer (regardless of whether they have children in school) to receive a tax credit for donations up to $400 made to public schools to support extracurricular activities. This directly benefits our schools, but it also reduces what you owe in state taxes – dollar for dollar!

How does it work?

The tax credit is limited to:

Single or head of household - $200
Married filing jointly - $400

The tax credit is easy to claim. Simply make a donation to the school of your choice, and the amount you give will be returned to you as a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for the applicable tax year. The law states that you must donate directly to a local school, with the money designated for extracurricular activities, but the school and program you support are entirely up to you.

This is an easy way to support the schools in the Joseph City School District without it costing you a thing. Write a check to the school of your choice, and get a receipt verifying your donation to an extracurricular activity. When you file your tax return, you can claim your tax credit.

If you have questions about the program, please feel free to give us a call.
