- Substitute Paraprofessionals and Classified Staff
The district is always seeking qualified candidates interested in substituting in a variety of settings from instructional aides to custodians, cafeteria workers, and drivers. Approved substitute applicant lists will be maintained for the duration of the academic year submitted. Applicants wishing to continue in this capacity should notify the District Office prior to the beginning of each school year. Failure to notify the district will result in the applicant’s name being dropped from the list. Interested individuals should complete the Classified Application at the left or download and complete a paper copy and drop it by the District Office, 8176 Westover Ave., Joseph City, AZ.
- Instructional Aide
The district is seeking applicants for a general purpose instructional aide to work with students in a 7-12 setting. Assignments may vary depending on students need and may include special and related services. Salary, schedule. Benefits. The application deadline is August 24, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.
Certified, Licensed Positions:
- Substitute Teachers - AZ Substitute Certification required.
As an applicant for a certificated position in the Joseph City Public Schools, you must:
- File a completed application (in sidebar at left of this page) with the District Office.
- Submit a copy of the following:
A. A complete transcript of your college or university credits.
B. Three letters of reference or a college/university placement file. If possible, please include a letter of recommendation from your current supervisor.
- You should be specific as to the position desired, subject, grade level(s), and secondary
subject(s).
- You should be specific when listing the type(s) of certificates you now have or qualify to
have. You must possess the appropriate Arizona Certificate required for the position, or
be eligible, for which you are applying.
- We will not grant interviews until your file is complete with application, transcripts,
Arizona Certificates, and confidential file and/or three letters of reference.
To be a qualified educator within the definition of Arizona Statutes, a person must possess a valid certificate issued by the lawful authorities of the State of Arizona. You may obtain complete information regarding certification from:

We will conduct an application screening, which includes reference checks, once your application is completed and we identify the position for which you are qualified. Depending on the number of applicants for the particular job vacancy, we will interview either all candidates with the required experience and credentials or only those with superior experience and credentials.
